Our Story

The 10 Better Foundation exists to amplify resources and connections that help grow Kentucky's foster family community.

Because when we all get just 10% better at supporting children and families in need, amazing things happen.

Kentucky currently has approximately 2,600 licensed foster homes but needs at least 4,000 to adequately serve the children in care. This gap isn't just a number—it represents children waiting longer for stable placements, foster families stretched too thin, and communities missing opportunities to make a profound difference.

We believe the solution isn't found in government alone, but in the collective action of ordinary people choosing to do extraordinary things. When individuals, families, churches, businesses, and communities each commit to getting just 10% better at supporting foster care, the compound effect is transformational.
